Forgive me please ….. it has been a few weeks since my last blog. November just came and went so quickly, I don’t know where the time went!

So, what have I been up to …. well, I created a lot of new caricatures. Some caricatures were for some really fun Wedding Guest Signing Boards that I hope to share the images with you all online in 2014. An Irish company requested four caricatures for a new website. Instead of personal photographs on their ‘About Us’ page they will now display fun caricatures. Can’t wait to see their new website when it’s complete.

Another reason for not blogging in a while is that I decided to update and change my website, which seemed to take forever and still isn’t finished. Having gained a lot of useful information from the Women’s Enterprise Day in October, I decided to put it all into to practice but didn’t expect it to take so long! I probably should have waited for a quieter time to do it, like in January; but I think it looks a lot better, do you?

And the last reason why November was a blur and there was no time for blogging is, along with my other work commitments it was the time of year to prepare for a major Christmas Craft Fair in Garter Lane Arts Centre Waterford that usually lasts three weeks. Every year I say that I’ll start preparing for the craft fair early, like in the Spring and have everything ready by October but no ….. it’s never happens.

For the past eight years I have been a member of a local craft co-op called the Waterford Homecrafts. The co-op consists of 12 full members that voluntarily organise and run the craft fairs, and up to 30 associate members. It was set up in 1984 and this year we are celebrating our 30th Christmas Craft Fair.

30 years …. I think that is a huge achievement for any voluntarily run group! We have managed to survive two recessions and we are still going strong! A lot of work goes on behind the scenes but we always manage to create a professionally run event that features exclusive and high quality crafts from over 40 different craft people.

My craft stand usually displays handmade handbags and jewellery but this year I introduced some caricature products. I created some fun caricatures of One Direction and have a limited amount of A3 prints made and they are getting a FAB reception. Guess they make great stocking fillers 😉

So, if you are living in Waterford or planning to visit in December to enjoy the fabulous Winterval Christmas Festival, be sure to check out the Waterford Homecrafts Christmas Craft Fair in the Garter Lane Arts Centre and keep an eye out for us on the RTE 1 program Nationwide, that will air on Friday 6th December at 7pm 😉 Very Excited 🙂 🙂

Oh …. by the way, if you can’t make it to Waterford and would like to get your hands on one of my One Direction Caricatures, you can also buy the here 😉
