Is it just me or do many artists and crafts people find it hard to promote and sell their own work? You spend hours creating a unique product or a magical art piece, yet it’s sometimes hard to confidently promote and sell your own craft work afterwards.

Last weekend I participated in a local Wedding Showcase (Wedding Fair), it was my first time personally promoting my caricature products to the public (rather than from behind a computer screen). I was a bundle of nerves as I set up my display, wondering what type of feedback my work would receive and if my display did the products justice.

Being an entrepreneur these days, it’s very easy to sit behind a computer screen and depend on the internet and social media to advertise and promote your business, but we need to network and create new business the old fashioned way, by meeting our customers face to face.

Over the past ten years I have participated in numerous craft fairs and trade shows and have sometimes been a little shy when it came to selling and promoting my own handcrafted items, but that all changed last weekend.

At the Wedding Showcase my caricature guest signing board and the Caricature Wedding invitation samples got a great response, I was delighted. My confidence grew steadily throughout the show as I chatted away to whom ever stopped at my stand and I really enjoyed the whole day.

So, after all that positivity, I’m ready for my next Wedding Fair 😀

If you would like information on any of my caricature products you can check my page here on this site. I am offering great introductory prices on the A4 mounted & framed caricature gifts and the Guest Signing Boards, untill the end of September (so get your Christmas shopping done early 😉 ).
